SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwired - February 16, 2016) - Peace Vans Rentals launches today, making its expertly restored Volkswagen camper rentals available for summer travel. Families, weekend warriors, baby boomers and millennials alike can now set out on the open road for a week or more in a fully-restored classic camper with all the comforts of home.
Each member of the Peace Vans fleet is a full Westfalia model built between 1987 to 1991, which means it sleeps up to four adults comfortably and comes with a built-in stove, sink and plenty of storage. A vacation in a van, each rental includes the necessities and amenities needed for a comfortable getaway, including cookware, utensils and headlamps, as well as a French press coffeemaker with fresh local beans. Washington wine, spirits and other gourmet treats can be added upon special request.
"Peace Vans, our sister company and one of the nation's foremost Volkswagen Van restoration experts, has been getting requests for rentals since inception in 2012, so it's a joy to be able to extend this possibility," said Peace Vans Rentals Owner Harley Sitner. "We are getting early reservations for road trip reunions, family adventures and girlfriend getaways, but the versatility and reliability of our Peace Vans vehicles paired with the nostalgia of this road trip icon really makes this a super accessible adventure for a wide variety of travelers."
Guests can design their own trip, meander the open road or consult with the Peace Vans experts who can offer tips and tricks of van life -- such as gourmet camping fare or secret sites. With the National Park Service Centennial celebration in full swing, it's an exciting time to be on the road but campsites will fill quickly so planning ahead is recommended.
Reservations are available now for travel beginning May 1. Rentals are available for six-night minimums with Sunday pick-up after 1 p.m. Rates begin at $1,425 for one week (six nights) with each additional night at $205 per night and include 100 miles per day and $0.15 per mile thereafter. Secure overnight parking is available on-site or arrive via Seattle's Link Light Rail to the Sodo Station, a two-minute walk from Peace Vans Rentals. Each rental offers fully serviced mechanical systems and has either been fully outfitted with new motor or lovingly restored according to the exacting measures for which its sister company, Peace Vans, is known.
