Mass Innovation Nights and Microsoft Bringing Civic Technology to District Hall

Local Startups Showcase New Products Designed to Spur Citizen Engagement, Enhance Infrastructure and Make Government More Effective

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Feb 29, 2016) - Mass Innovation Nights (MIN) is collaborating with Microsoft on the second annual civic technology Mass Innovation Nights. The 84th monthly Mass Innovation Nights event will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at District Hall in Boston's Innovation District (75 Northern Avenue, Boston MA). Mass Innovation Nights are free monthly product showcase and networking events in the greater Boston area. To attend, please RSVP.

"Over the past six years, our community has helped support the launch of more than 850 new products," said Bobbie Carlton, Innovation Nights founder. "This month we are focusing our efforts on products that can help our community and local government."

The event will focus on the ways in which websites, apps, and other technology can help serve the Commonwealth and its citizens.

"Massachusetts is growing a diverse Civic Tech ecosystem that includes solutions that enable government transparency, improve services to citizens and support the business of government," said Cathy Wissink, Director of Civic Engagement at Microsoft. "This MIN event is a fantastic opportunity to see a sampling of the solutions that make up this emerging industry."

The event is free to attend, but attendees are encouraged to help spread the word about the cool new products they see, either through a blog post, a Tweet (Hashtags: #MIN84 or #civictech), a Facebook Like, or simply by talking to others. A single event can generate hundreds of social media posts. Participating startups this month are:

Addicaid
