COLUMBUS, Ohio, Feb. 29, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The recent relaunch of Anderson County Schools' website marks a continued trend of growth for custom website developer eSchoolView.
The site features a unique, tailor-made design created specifically for the K-12 Kentucky school district. Photos, news and a revamped toolbox for accessing frequently used links take center stage.
eSchoolView creates unique websites — as opposed to using stock templates — that embody, enhance and elevate a district's brand. The designs — built on a content management system that allows multiple users and does not require specialized skills — have compatible responsive mobile sites.
"Websites are part of the front line for communicating with parents and residents," eSchoolView Executive Director Rob O'Leary said. "School systems need to have a strong online presence that use current design trends and functionality because they are competing for attention, too. Antiquated sites do not reflect the mission of preparing students for future success."
Newton Community Schools in Iowa was drawn to the Columbus, Ohio-based company for it's individualized approach.
"We wanted a visually stimulating website that would attract and hold visitors on our site," Newton's Technology Supervisor Chris Bieghler said. "The majority of the vendors we looked at had cookie-cutter templates for options and we wanted our site to be completely unique. eSchoolView offered a customized site for nearly the same cost as many of those template-driven content management system providers."
Specialized partnerships with providers for other services that enhance school-to-home communication aid in eSchoolView's growth and how it can serve school systems across the country. A recent partnership with BoxCast — a tool that enables a site to broadcast live video — has proven to be a boon for expansion of services.
"The power to share live video of students is priceless because it strengthens relationships," O'Leary said. "School districts that broadcast live feeds of sporting events, school functions or even school board meetings are providing more opportunities for parents and residents to connect."
Afton Central School District in south-central New York and Rocky River Schools in northern Ohio are just two districts to sign on with the new feature. Both districts have unlimited streaming capabilities.
Olentangy Local Schools in Lewis Center, Ohio recently contracted with the firm for a customized staff and parent portal. eSchoolView's new partnership with PowerSchool will increase the efficiency of the district known for its rapid growth by enabling instant integration of student data though a PowerSchool API.
eSchoolView was created in 2008. Since then, its revenue growth lands the company near the top third (at 1907) of Inc. Magazine's 5000 list of fastest growing privately held companies in the U.S. for the second consecutive year.
