WESTBURY, NY--(Marketwired - April 11, 2016) - The Spectroline®MAXIMA™ MFK-3500 Series Forensic Light Source Kits Forensic Light Source Kits allow you to find critical evidence quicker and more efficiently. That's because you can custom order them in UV spot beam (MFK-3500S) or UV diffused beam (MFK-3500D) versions. Whichever you choose, both kits utilize the latest Micro Discharge Light (MDL) technology to produce an ultra-powerful forensic inspection lamp.
The MAXIMA lamp's searchlight-type power allows for long-range, wide-area coverage. Working on either AC or DC voltage, it enables forensic specialists to view potential crime scene evidence in the field or in the laboratory. Its ultra-high intensity, 35-watt MDL bulb/reflector easily illuminates bodily fluids, fibers, fingerprints and other fluorescent samples, even in daylight.
The lamp is lightweight and features a solid-state ballast and 8 foot (2.4 m) primary and secondary cords. It's constructed with a hard, heat-resistant, space-age polymer for heavy use. A DC battery pack attaches easily to the ballast housing for easy transport.
Five interchangeable, twist-lock forensic filters (UV, clear, general, blue and green) provide a maximum range of individual spectrums for enhanced detection of forensic samples. Both kits also include four pairs of UV-absorbing contrast spectacles (clear, yellow, orange and red) and an AC charger. The chargers are available in 120V, 230V, 240V and 100V versions. The lamp is stored in a rugged, plastic carrying case and a soft case is provided for the filters and spectacles.
