RESTON, VA--(Marketwired - May 17, 2016) - Meridian Knowledge Solutions, a leading learning technology provider, today unveiled the spring release of Meridian Global®. With the release, Meridian extends its product capabilities to support the stringent training requirements of highly-regulated industries, like life sciences and pharmaceuticals. These industries are governed by strict mandates to track the delivery and completion of training. They face significant consequences for non-compliance, and training done right reduces the risk of business disruption for them.
"All organizations are affected in one way or another by compliance and compliance-related issues. With the new enhancements of the 16.2 spring release, Meridian is ramping up to be a leader in developing learning solutions that solve complex business problems for the life science industry," said Michael Rochelle, chief strategy officer, Brandon Hall Group.
"Regulated industries have always viewed their learning systems as mission critical, but most learning vendors have failed to fully address their needs -- from the product capabilities to the documentation and cloud operations," said Geoff Perry, vice president of product for Meridian Knowledge Solutions. "We have taken a comprehensive approach in our spring release to address the full set of requirements. We extended the product to fully support e-signatures, enhanced our auditing mechanisms, and built out a full set of documentation to support the client's validation needs. Our clients can now fully address the FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements while also providing their learners and modern and engaging user experience."
Highlights of Meridian Global Spring Release include:
- Expanded compliance and e-signature support allows all customers to capture over 50 learner and administrative actions with e-signature and optional logging of administrative training record updates. Newly captured data is immediately updated and available for reporting and analysis.
- Validation toolkit provides a complete set of documentation and templates to assist organizations with their FDA validation process.
- Decentralized section administration allows instructors and administrators to control individual sections (offerings) for courses at a much more granular level.
- Email personalization improvements enables more course information to be included in the alerts and to also support more dynamic notifications based on any changes an instructor or administrator might make to a course.
