Texas State University Selects Kuali Research

SALT LAKE CITY, May 17, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Texas State University is the most recent institution to select Kuali Research to simplify administration and compliance, maximize funding, and make more informed decisions.

"Texas State University is committed to becoming a national research university," said W Scott Erwin, Director, Office of Sponsored Programs. "We are pleased to be working with Kuali to move our electronic research administration to the Kuali cloud, which will allow us to provide better service to our faculty researchers. Kuali will help us realize our vision of minimizing the administrative burden of the research process, upholding high ethical standards, and exhibiting leadership in research administration."

Bill Rampy, Special Assistant to the Vice President for Information Technology, noted, "we look forward to moving to Kuali Research software as the source for the latest technology and support of the research administration process at Texas State University."

Kuali is the only company that offers the Kuali Research solution, developed in collaboration with the world's leading research administrators in the Kuali community. Other products from former Kuali Commercial Affiliates may have origins in the legacy Coeus code, but are no longer related to Kuali nor do they benefit from Kuali improvements, including contributions from leading research institutions.

Kuali Research addresses the full sponsored projects lifecycle. It streamlines processes with online workflow, integrates with grants.gov, and creates a single repository for all proposal, award, and compliance information. Out-of-the-box reporting provides administrators and departmental users with tools to leverage this powerful information to gain important insights and make more informed decisions.

With an enrollment of approximately 38,000 students, Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas is the fourth-largest university in the state of Texas. In 2016, Texas State was reclassified under "Doctoral Universities: Higher Research Activity," the second-highest designation for research institutions in the country under The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching's respected classification system. It has 10 colleges and about 50 schools and departments, including nationally-recognized programs.
