STOCKTON, Calif., June 9, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Employees working in Associa Northern California's Stockton office ceremoniously released balloons on National Gun Violence Awareness Day in remembrance employee Jessica Sewell's son.
On June 2 at 3 p.m. the office staff, wearing orange in support of the cause, gathered outside of the Stockton office on West Robinhood Drive and released the balloons in memory of Juwan Small, who was senselessly murdered by a gun on December 14, 2015, the night before his 18th birthday.
"Senseless gun violence is not just an inner city problem it is an epidemic worldwide," says Sewell. "I plan to have a role in educating our youth about senseless gun violence and the damage it is doing, has done or may do in their lives! Juwan being murdered has drastically changed my life forever and I appreciate the support from my Associa family."
