Dream Town Awards Inaugural Eric Vega Scholarship to Local University Student

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - September 01, 2016) - Dream Town Realty is proud to announce that Cassandra Robledo has been awarded our inaugural Eric Vega Scholarship. The award is given to a Chicago area resident who has an impressive academic career and a history of community service. Ms. Robledo is a graduate of EPIC Academy and a current student at St. Xavier University. In addition to maintaining an exemplary high school record, she has been an active participant in many local organizations and events -- including volunteering her clerical and administrative services to an affordable housing developer, working as a school ambassador, and helping with multiple tasks at Mary Hospital. At St. Xavier, she has dedicated herself to studying nursing.

"I plan to serve my community for the rest of my life in the uniform of scrubs and a stethoscope," says Robledo. "I want people to have the proper care they need to be healthy and to have more to make their lives easier."

The $1,500 award, Robledo says, will be instrumental in defraying the costs of textbooks and other supplies required to pursue her career in medicine.
