SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 12, 2016) - Birst, the global leader in Cloud BI and Analytics for the Enterprise, today announced that Birst customer Citrix Systems has been named a finalist in the sixth annual Constellation SuperNova Awards. The Constellation SuperNova Awards recognize leaders and teams for their innovative application of disruptive technology in business.
Citrix Systems is a leading provider of virtualization, networking and cloud computing solutions for more than 130,000 organizations worldwide, including logistics and supply chain organizations. With data from multiple systems, Citrix sought out a way to architect a digital supply chain to provide real-time supply and demand-matching information. After implementing Birst, Citrix was able to digitize the entire supply chain to gain real-time visibility and achieve a more than 99 percent on-time delivery rate and a five-fold increase in inventory turns that have lowered costs, increased profitability and improved gross margins.
"The finalists of the 2016 SuperNova Awards demonstrate a deep understanding of the elements required for digital transformation," said R "Ray" Wang, chairman and founder at Constellation Research. "These innovators take risks, overcome obstacles, and defeat myopia for the purpose of furthering disruptive technology. I know the SuperNova Award finalists will inspire other technology leaders to implement new technologies and transform their organizations."
Fred Tiso, vice president of worldwide supply chain, Citrix, said: "The problem we faced was wrangling and analyzing data from more than 400 disparate sources. We had no single version of the truth. All of these different slices of data needed to be integrated so that anyone along the supply chain could access information quickly. To solve this dilemma, we went to Birst and have since improved our business operations with end-to-end visibility and analytics."
The SuperNova Award judges, comprised of technology thought leaders and journalists, recognized entrants who demonstrated the foresight, creativity and measured audacity to successfully implement emerging technologies for their organizations. Public voting for the winners will take place online from Sept. 12-21 by clicking here. The winners will be announced at the SuperNova Awards Gala on Oct. 27 in Half Moon Bay, California, during Constellation's Connected Enterprise 2016 innovation summit.
