(http://www.mydreamvr.com/) today announced that the early access release of LightVR (http://lightvr.co/) is now generally available on Steam at http://store.steampowered.com/app/488040/. The multi-window computer interface for VR lets users interface the Windows desktop, web apps, and games all from a fully customizable 360 VR space with multiple screens, 3D props, and environments.

With LightVR, users can multitask with multiple screens in an immersive virtual reality environment. The desktop provides the ability to view and complete tasks in privacy regardless of their physical environment. For example, a trader could conduct business on a VR headset while sitting on a crowded train or a secluded beach. LightVR is also fully customizable, allowing users to create and adjust their virtual reality space with virtual objects like furniture or scenery.

Providing users with a blended reality experience, LightVR enables simultaneous virtual and real-world interaction, a feature unique to the product. Blended reality makes VR more accessible by combating issues like nausea within the VR headset. The goal of LightVR is to provide a virtual desktop experience that people can use for longer than a few minutes at a time.
