According to the Finnish Securities Markets Act Chapter 7 Section 3 an issuer of a security other than one referred to in Chapter 7 Section 2 (a share, a security giving rise to a right to acquire a share and a security equivalent to a share), the denomination or accounting par value of which is at least EUR 1 000 and which is admitted to trading on a regulated market, shall choose a member state as its home member state for disclosure of periodic information.
The board of Containerships plc has decided that the company's home member state according to the above regulation will be Finland. The company has also today informed the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority of its decision in accordance with this regulation.
