SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 25, 2016) - Veriflow was announced as the Barclays "Innovation Challenge Winner". Veriflow beat out more than 100 global technology companies for the honor during Barclays' fourth annual Open Innovation Challenge held in Palo Alto, CA on October 17.
Barclays hosts Open Innovation events to evaluate the latest technologies that are likely to significantly impact the banking landscape in the coming months and years. From over 100 applicants, Barclays selected twenty-five companies to engage in face-to-face pitch and demo sessions that were intended to find solutions to this year's three challenges: micro-segmentation, container technologies and open source for the enterprise. The Challengers included key technology leaders from across the Barclays business portfolio as well as global infrastructure and architecture.
Veriflow was named as the Innovation Challenge Winner. Veriflow is the first networking company to use formal verification to eliminate change-induced network vulnerabilities and outages.
Afterwards, Tony Kerrison, Global Head of Infrastructure Services said "Start-ups are generating exciting ideas all the time and this event provides an ideal platform to quickly identify best-in-class emerging technologies. Not only do we want to harness their creativity to deliver superior solutions to customers and clients, it's also really rewarding to support the next generation."
"We're honored to be recognized by Barclays through their 2016 Open Innovation Challenge," said James Brear, president and CEO of Veriflow. "This award along with our recent customer wins are further validation of our technology's ability to solve some of the toughest availability, resilience, compliance and segmentation challenges in networking today."
"Enterprises are facing a new reality where technologies like software-defined data centers with virtual and physical networks, rapidly provisioned containers, and hybrid cloud result in higher network complexity and poor visibility," said Brighten Godfrey, co-founder and CTO of Veriflow. "Yet the network is under more pressure than ever to assure that micro-segmentation and resilience policies are actually realized. So we see the mathematical confidence provided by Veriflow's continuous network verification becoming essential for all enterprises."
