ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - Nov 10, 2016) - RapidFire Tools Inc., providers of the leading Network Detective non-invasive IT assessment tools, announces it has developed a back-up and disaster recovery (BDR) assessment tool at the request of Datto, a major manufacturer of backup, recovery and business continuity solutions for the IT channel. Datto is offering the tool to its managed services providers at no cost, allowing these MSPs to produce a report that outlines the back-up and recovery requirements of the end user. The tool is available for immediate download from Datto's website.
The new BDR tool conducts a non-invasive scan of an end-user's network, assessing parameters such as bandwidth requirements, download speeds, the amount of data currently being stored, remaining storage, and what type and level of back-up is maintained by each computer on the network. The resulting assessment report provides a detailed analysis of the client's BDR environment, generating a list of suggested products and pricing. Datto MSPs can present an effective BDR program for each potential client based on the customized scan.
Datto MSPs can leverage this new offering as a marketing tool by which to prospect for leads and gain new business, taking advantage of one of the many benefits of IT assessment. In addition to providing a proven tool for winning new end-customers, RapidFire Tools hopes to introduce more Datto users to the additional advantages of IT assessments. Regular network assessment reports provide a holistic, ongoing picture of network performance, isolating patterns and red flags that indicate questionable network behavior. This empowers managed services providers to proactively address issues and mitigate risks for their clientele -- before these questionable activities manifest as a network compromise. Assessment reports document a network's configuration, providing a blueprint for an MSP to rebuild that network in the instance of a system failure. In addition, network assessments can be utilized to satisfy HIPAA and PCI data compliance regulations, creating lucrative opportunities for MSPs across a variety of verticals, including healthcare and retail.
"We're thrilled to produce this offering for an industry pioneer like Datto, delivering a new capability that will help its broad base of managed services providers gain incremental revenues through assessment services," said Michael Mittel, CEO and president at RapidFire Tools. "We look forward to developing a more extensive relationship with Datto's partner community, acquainting them with a range of IT assessment benefits that address the greater life cycle of the end-user's environment, from documenting a network configuration, to identifying ongoing service opportunities, to developing a profitable Compliance-as-a-Service practice."
The Network Detective solutions include full modules for Network, Security, MS Exchange, HIPAA, PCI, and SQL Server assessments, respectively.
