SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt., Nov. 17, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dynapower, the global leader in energy storage inverters, announced that it provided hybrid, solar plus storage inverters and a microgrid control system to Green Mountain Power in Vermont for the utility’s Stafford Hill 2 MW/ 3.4 MWh project in Rutland, VT. Green Mountain Power was able to save $200,000 in a single hour on August 12, 2016 during summer peak demand, which will go directly to lowering costs for customers.

Dynapower provided four (4) UL Listed, 500 kW solar plus storage inverters, which combine solar-PV and battery energy storage within a single inverter. These inverters enable Green Mountain Power to generate 2 mega-watts of solar firmed with 2 mega-watts, 3.4 mega-watt hours of battery energy storage. Green Mountain Power uses the battery to respond to peak events, and during off peak times generates additional value for customers by participating in ISO-New England’s Frequency Regulation market.
