LAS VEGAS, Nov. 21, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Miracle Flights, the nation's leading medical flight charity, is excited to welcome three staff members to the nonprofit's growing team…just in time for the holidays!
This Thanksgiving blessing comes in the form of Dona Krystosek, Brooke Freeman and Liane Mayor-Means, who will now act as the nonprofit's Family Advocate, Community Outreach Officer and Flight Specialist, respectively.
Krystosek and her son "Little Levi" Krystosek are no strangers to Miracle Flights, having flown numerous times for various medical appointments and procedures to treat Levi's rare form of dwarfism. In June 2016, the family was honored as the charity's 100,000th Miracle Flight, traveling from their home near New Orleans to Philadelphia so a specialist could evaluate Levi's condition. This bash consisted of a pop-up red carpet, paparazzi, a live band and a wet and wild send-off.
"We're so excited to welcome Dona and the rest of the new staff to the team," said Miracle Flights CEO, Mark E. Brown. "This is an exciting time for us," he added. "Adding three people of such high caliber is something to be thankful for this holiday season. Stay tuned to see how Miracle Flights continues to expand and reach more and more families in need."
To-date, the charity has celebrated over 104,000 flights and covered over 58 million miles. Miracle Flights has helped patients with rare and life-threatening medical conditions gain access to distant medical care for over three decades. Plane tickets are provided at no cost to the families and as many times as necessary.
