The Dazmo Group announces the opening of new film studios: MTL GRANDE

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Dec. 13, 2016) - The Dazmo Group is proud to announce the opening of new film studios, MTL GRANDÉ, to broaden and improve Montreal's offering of film, television, and advertising production services. Located in the heart of the Pointe-Saint-Charles area, these new dedicated facilities for both local and international productions will offer a wide range of complete and integrated services that will further contribute to making Montreal one of North America's leading production destinations. To complete this project, the Dazmo Group, owner of Vidéo MTL, will receive financial aid from three important financial partners: Fonds de solidarité FTQ, Investissement Québec, and Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED).

Founded in 1997, the Dazmo Group now offers state of the art studios that are among the most spacious in Montreal. This brand new project includes:

• Two soundproof studios and one backlot space with a combined area of 150,000 square feet
• 40,000 square feet of multi-purpose rooms
• 20,000 square feet of production offices
• 600 parking spaces

MTL GRANDÉ is already operational; the new studios hosted a special program that unveiled the official programming for Montreal's 375th anniversary. This 90-minute production, presented on December 11 on ICI Radio-Canada TV, TVA, V, and Télé-Québec, provided a preview of the events to be held for the city's anniversary in 2017.

Finally, further evidence of the studio's great potential in attracting major productions, Paramount Pictures has chosen the MTL GRANDÉ studios for the production of the new Jack Ryan series: a fictional character created by the renowned author Tom Clancy. Production of this series will begin in January 2017.
