CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - December 21, 2016) - Registration is open for the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Annual Educational Conference taking place March 9-12, 2017 at Rosen Single Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida. This year's conference, themed Igniting Innovation, is the tenth consecutive Annual Educational Conference, which has grown in content, attendance, and reach each year.
The ACGME Annual Educational Conference is one of the largest gatherings of graduate medical educators in the world, and unites institutional leadership and administrators, faculty members, program directors, program coordinators, residents and fellows, and others who are passionate about igniting the sparks of innovation in graduate medical education (GME) to serve the ACGME mission.

Session topics at this year's event include physician well-being, the Milestones, the Clinical Learning Environment Review (CLER) Program, and the ACGME self-study, among others. Specialty-specific sessions (including Town Halls and an update on Osteopathic Recognition), and sessions on the Accreditation Data System (ADS) will also be featured, as well as an osteopathic pre-conference in collaboration with the Association of Osteopathic Directors and Medical Educators (AODME) focused on achieving ACGME Initial Accreditation, Osteopathic Recognition, scholarly activity, and a year in the life of a program director.
Key Sessions
This year's sessions, selected from submissions from the GME community across the world, focus on topics that improve the quality of residency and fellowship programs and spark innovation in GME. A sample of topics includes resident/fellow assessment, feedback techniques, resident remediation, the continued incorporation of quality improvement into residency and fellowship education, osteopathic topics, physician well-being, and many others, as well as poster sessions and the popular Exhibit Hall, this year including a new feature, the Career Corner.

Lodging and Transportation
The ACGME is hosting the event for the first time at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort, which is just minutes away from world famous attractions such as Universal Orlando, Disney World, Sea World, and others. The ACGME has secured discounted room rates at this hotel, as well as at the Rosen Plaza and Rosen Centre. All three hotels are about a 15-minute drive from the Orlando International Airport (MCO), and free shuttles will be available between the airport and the conference.
