WASHINGTON, Jan. 3, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Private Tours of Washington (PTW), a Trip Advisor five-star rated company, announces its exclusive Inaugural Trump Tour. Available Thursday, January 12 – 19, 2017, the tour was created by political expert, author and journalist Bill Thomas. With 25 years of experience writing about Congress and the White House, Thomas knows Washington. He's also a former standup comic, so the experience will be both entertaining and enlightening.

Explore Donald Trump's Washington in a style befitting the wealthiest chief executive in American history. All PTW tours are custom designed, expertly narrated and driven in chauffeured luxury. The one-of-a-kind Trump Tour will be no exception. Pricing starts from $465 for one or two guests, $565 for three-to-five guests and $685 for six-to-12 guests.

From the White House to Capitol Hill and Embassy Row to the Pentagon, see the places that will make up President Donald Trump's Washington and hear about the people in charge:

The West Front of the Capitol Building where Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 45th president of the United States

The Inaugural Parade route past FBI Headquarters, the Justice, Treasury and Commerce Departments and the new Trump International Hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue

The White House and the West Wing, site of President Donald Trump's Oval Office

The Pentagon, headquarters of General James "Mad Dog" Mattis (Ret.), Trump's new secretary of defense

Embassy Row, including the Russian Embassy and nearby FBI "listening post"

Fashionable Georgetown and Kalorama, the soon-to-be neighborhoods of many Trump appointees

Benjamin, the swank bar and lounge in the Trump International, where wine is served by the spoon, RPM Italian, a creation of Bill Rancic, the first Apprentice winner in 2004 to be hired by the Trump Organization

The Four Seasons, where Marla Maples once threw her $250,000 engagement ring and her high heels at Donald Trump, announcing, "I'll never marry you!"

But wait, there's more…

Five Ways Donald Trump has already changed Washington:

* Wealth of historic proportions. When President George Washington retired from office in 1797, his estimated worth of $525 million made him the richest chief executive in U.S. history — until now. With his inauguration, President Donald Trump, according to Forbes, will be worth $3.7 billion.

* Zero-based paycheck. Donald Trump will be one of only three U.S. presidents not to accept a White House salary, currently an annual $400,000. The others have been Herbert Hoover and John F. Kennedy. At his pay rate when he headed the Trump Organization, Trump made the equivalent of the president's yearly earnings every workday.

* Now the French have to like us. Not since Jacqueline Kennedy, who spoke French, Spanish and Italian, has a First Lady come close to speaking as many languages as Melania Trump, who's fluent in French, German, Serbian, her native Slovenian and adopted English.

* Office of Important Hair Management. A stylist on his former show The Apprentice, says Donald Trump's hair is real, but its upkeep is a closely guarded secret. Trump once revealed he only lets Melania give him a trim. As for Melania's supermodel locks, for nearly a decade the man in charge has been Israeli stylist Mordecai Alvow, who also does Ivanka's hair and 10-year-old Barron Trump's.

* Taking-care-of-business causal. Oleg Cassini created the Jacqueline Kennedy look. Adolfo did the same for Nancy Reagan. Staying in New York while Barron finishes the school year will give Melania extra time to fine tune her White House look. Cost effectiveness will be the theme of her husband's administration, and Melania will probably get design assistance from Ralph Lauren, who created the executive jumpsuit she wore to the final presidential debate.
About PTW and Founder Bill Thomas http://www.privatetoursofwashington.com/

Private Tours of Washington was founded in 2013 by author and journalist Bill Thomas with one purpose in mind: to provide discerning guests with smart, witty and thoroughly unforgettable tours of the Nation's Capital.

No one is better equipped than he is to help plan your tour of the most important city in the world. Thomas has written about Congress and the White House for more than 25 years as a reporter for The Baltimore Sun and a columnist for Roll Call and The Hill newspapers; he has also been the editor of The Washington Weekly, Dossier Magazine and Capital Style published in Washington by The Economist.

How well does he know Washington? When he put then-Kellyanne Fitzpatrick on the cover of Capital Style, power attorney George T. Conway III took notice, the two met, and the rest is history. Kellyanne Conway managed Donald Trump's winning presidential campaign.

Thomas is the author of several books, including: Club Fed: Power, Money, Sex and Violence on Capitol Hill, called "required reading" by The Washington Post; Red Tape: Adventure Capitalism in the New Russia; and the scandalously funny Capital Confidential, which inspired the Off Broadway musical-comedy The Prez (directed by Tom O'Horgan, Hair and Jesus Christ Superstar).

He has been interviewed on CNN, Fox News, C-SPAN, PBS, The O'Reilly Factor and Entertainment Tonight and been heard on NPR's "Morning Edition" as well as dozens of network and local news-talk radio shows nationwide. On a lighter side, Thomas is a former stand-up comic, who performed in Washington, New York, San Francisco and elsewhere, appearing with Lewis Black, Bobby Slayton and many more. Writing assignments for Vanity Fair, The New York Times Magazine, National Geographic and other publications have taken him across the country and around the world, but it's his hometown he knows best.

"Washington is the story of the United States told in the history of a single city," Thomas said. "Our handpicked team of knowledgeable and friendly tour guides makes PTW second to none at bringing that history vividly to life for guests of all ages."
