American Health Council Names Jason Sheffer, MBA to Industry Board


NEW YORK, Feb. 13, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Jason Sheffer, Director of Organizational Development & Training at MidMichigan Health, has been selected to join the Industry Board at the American Health Council. He will be sharing his knowledge and expertise on organizational development, strategic planning, and human resources / talent management.

With over nine years of experience in the field of Organizational Development, Jason offers valuable insight in his role as the Director of Organizational Development & Training at MidMichigan Health.

Headquartered in Midland, Michigan, MidMichigan Health is a non-profit health system focused on providing quality, comprehensive healthcare in state-of-the-art facilities. In 2012, Jason earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Northwood University. Additionally, he completed a Bachelor of Science program from Central Michigan University in 2007. He is a certified Basic Life Support instructor for the American Heart Association / American Stroke Association.

Jason maintains affiliation with the Association for Talent Development, American College of Healthcare Executives, and Midland Chamber of Commerce. He volunteers with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), American Heart Association, American Stroke Association, and United Way.

Jason pursued the field of healthcare because of his desire to make positive changes in the healthcare arena. Due to his commitment to the field of healthcare, Jason has been recognized as the Great Lakes Bay Region MVP He attributes his success to being driven, seeking first to understand, and learning from others.

Among his many accomplishments, Jason is most proud of several publications on healthcare organization, providing quality training, and being an instrumental participant in various projects. Amongst these projects are clinical integration, clinical care, strategy development and Simulation Center Development.

Considering the future, his focus is to help his team and his leadership to meet all strategic goals, and to transition into a C-Suite position.
