FinalCode’s latest release addresses its users’ requests to protect Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF and image files on both Windows and Mac platforms. These files can be objects of targeted attacks, stolen by employees, or subject to secondary data leakage when files are forwarded to unintended recipients such as collaborators, subcontractors and partners. Support for AutoCAD files on Mac is scheduled for the next FinalCode Client for Mac release.

For strong security, FinalCode uses a whitelisting approach to identify file types by application. Files of these types can only be opened in applications that have been verified. FinalCode also offers secured protection for copy, paste, screen capture, print control and other commands that could be used to compromise security.
