COLUMBIA, Md., June 27, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- WellDoc®, the leading digital health technology company revolutionizing chronic disease management, announced today its support of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) of Maryland’s “The Fabulous YOU!” program. The company is providing the third class of women involved in the program with access to its BlueStar® digital therapeutic for individuals living with type 2 diabetes.
“The Fabulous YOU!” is a year-long program providing fitness and educational classes and materials, cooking classes, and coaching to participants to teach them how to manage their diabetes. Over the past few years, program participants achieved a reduction in their A1C levels and lost up to 16 pounds as they learned integral techniques to manage their diabetes.

She was also actively involved on the local board of ADA in Virginia. Ms. MacLeod is the past regional Association of American Diabetes Educators (AADE) president. In her role at WellDoc, she is responsible for partnering with the healthcare team to integrate digital therapeutics, like BlueStar, into clinical practice.
