STOUFFVILLE, Ontario, Sept. 06, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society is asking animal lovers of all ages to help change the lives of animals in need, one step at a time, at its Friends for Life! Walk™ Presented by Pedigree.
The Friends for Life! Walk is a major fundraiser for the Ontario SPCA and participating Affiliate Societies that takes place in 15 communities across Ontario over the weekend of Sept. 23-24. Funds raised support programs and services provided by Ontario SPCA animal centres and humane societies across Ontario.
“We can’t do this alone, which is why we need you to go the extra mile to help vulnerable animals,” says Tonya Martin, Director, Animal Centres & Community Programming, Ontario SPCA. “Even if you don’t have a four-legged friend to bring to the walk, register and raise funds for your local Ontario SPCA animal centre or humane society.”
More than just a fundraising walk, the Friends for Life! Walk is a fun-filled day that offers something for everyone. From barbecues and live music, to pet vendors and activities for the kids, each walk location has its own unique attractions and activities. It’s the purr-fect way to spend a day with friends and family who share a love of animals.
