The Avtec solution, which will consist of seven Scout™ VoIP consoles integrated with an EF Johnson radio infrastructure via a DFSI P25 conventional wireline interface, will provide dispatchers with the reliable, system-wide communications needed to ensure safety, track control and operational efficiency.
“Avtec and Alcon are privileged to be part of this important new passenger rail project, with ridership between the center of town and the airport forecasted to be about 120,000 passengers per day,” said Avtec Vice President of Sales for Railway Solutions Joe Oravetz. “It’s a testament to Scout’s reputation for reliable, high availability performance, as well as its scalable, interoperable design. With the outstanding service support from Alcon, the system can be expanded very easily to accommodate São Paulo’s future metro passenger service growth and subsequent voice dispatching needs.”
