NEW YORK, Dec. 21, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- American Education Center, Inc. (“AEC” or the “Company”) (OTCQB:AMCT), an emerging growth company providing educational and career enrichment opportunities for Chinese students studying in the United States, and corporate training and advisory services to customers with clients in the food industry in China, today announced that it has completed its 2nd PEMA Camp (the “Camp”), a customized career development program tailored to students with interest in entering into the Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions (the “PE and M&A”) industry to gain valuable and practical knowledge through an intensive 5-day training program. A total of eleven campers, chosen from over one hundred applicants, participated in the Camp that was held at our New York City office from December 16 to 20, 2017.
Max P. Chen, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AEC, commented, “Recognizing that foreign students often face challenges and difficulties in finding their dream jobs or internships, particularly in the financial industry, we believe it is essential for them to gain access to professionals in the industry and acquire the career development skills needed to build a promising career path. Our highly specialized PEMA Camp is designed to offer students a unique opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of the PE and M&A industry from our team of nine mentors who bring extensive industry and practical working experience to our campers.
"The Camp builds on the success of our inaugural PEMA Camp that we hosted earlier this year where all eight campers who attended the career development program had successfully landed a job or internship of their dreams after the program."
