SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 10, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ThousandEyes, the Network Intelligence company that delivers visibility into every network, today announced a partnership with Juniper Networks to provide insights into network performance and application delivery across the changing hybrid wide area network (WAN) of service providers and enterprises. The ThousandEyes solution with Juniper Networks® Cloud Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) provides visibility for network operations teams into the delivery of internally hosted and SaaS applications that traverse wide area networks and the internet.
“As more and more of our customers move to cloud-centric networks to realize its cost and agility promises, the migration – often to a hybrid public/private environment – can also bring new network blind spots that, if left unchecked, can wreak havoc on service delivery, application development, SLAs and the overall end-user experience,” said Mihir Maniar, vice president, product management, Juniper Networks. “Our customers can benefit from the open architecture of Juniper CPE devices and partner ecosystem to deploy best of breed solutions of choice. The ThousandEyes solution gives customers the end-to-end visibility into their new software-centric network architecture to achieve the benefits of an agile network: new revenue streams, profitability, accelerated innovation and service delivery.”
Hybrid cloud models, data center consolidation, SD-WAN offerings and SaaS adoption are all straining the modern enterprise network. The Gartner Hype Cycle for Enterprise Networking and Communications, 2017 by Danellie Young and Bjarne Munch, published on July 20, 2017 notes that, “Users should invest in tools that support today's demands, realizing that you may have to reinvest in the future to meet changing needs. This not only includes future SDN/NFV investments and strategies, but also the migration of enterprise software from the data center to the public cloud. Use of public cloud services puts additional strain on the network, regardless of the deployment method of these services (infrastructure as a service [IaaS], platform as a service [PaaS] or SaaS)."*
With change, IT and network teams are struggling to maintain visibility. ThousandEyes provides IT and network teams with unique insights into modern enterprise network infrastructure, encompassing the internet and Cloud as part of the normal operating environment. These insights come from the constellation of network vantage points spanning the internet, within the enterprise, to the end user. Now, with the comprehensive and open network functions virtualization (NFV) solution offered by Juniper Networks Cloud CPE, which gives customers the ability to virtually deploy managed services faster, the ThousandEyes Virtual Network Function (VNF) on Juniper NFX Cloud CPE can provide customers hop-by-hop performance insights into network problems from a branch office or data center within the enterprise network, across the internet to hosted data centers or to cloud-based applications.
“IT and networks are increasingly critical to business success as organizations embrace and leverage digital technologies. To keep pace with evolving business demands and maintain high levels of application delivery performance, these enterprises need agile and robust network architectures and enhanced visibility to troubleshoot complex issues and plan effectively,” said Ashwin Kedia, vice president, business development, ThousandEyes. “We’re thrilled to be working with Juniper Networks so that our mutual customers can now leverage this joint solution to benefit from insight into service topology and performance across the enterprise WAN, whether connected by MPLS, VPN or direct internet access.”
ThousandEyes VNF to be deployed on Juniper Networks Cloud CPE is generally available as of this announcement and is ready for purchase and deployment from www.thousandeyes.com, or through approved channel partners or managed service providers.
