CHICAGO, Jan. 22, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Love is in the air – and water – as Navy Pier teams up with Entertainment Cruises to host Spinning with Singles, a special Valentine’s Day mixer for singles ages 21 and over on Wednesday, February 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the Centennial Wheel and aboard the private yacht, Chicago Elite. Local singles are invited to mix and mingle with other singles at this one-of-a-kind dating event in hopes of forging a love connection on Valentine’s Day – and National Ferris Wheel Day!
Participants will have the exciting and unique opportunity to ride the iconic 200-foot attraction in groups and meet new people at every rotation. The fun continues on water with a special dockside reception aboard Entertainment Cruises’ private yacht, Chicago Elite. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. in Navy Pier’s Crystal Gardens. Hot chocolate will be available to participants upon arrival. Group speed dating will begin promptly at 7 p.m. on the Centennial Wheel, which features unparalleled views and a unique, intimate setting within its enclosed and heated gondolas. Each gondola will hold three to four couples, who will mix and mingle for a full ride before moving on to the subsequent gondola.
Upon completing their spin on the Wheel, guests will make their way to Chicago Elite for a special reception, featuring hors d’oeuvres, an open bar and music by DJ LoveBug. Participants are encouraged to connect with those they were not able to meet on the Centennial Wheel or continue the conversation with someone who may have piqued their interest.
At the end of the event, each participant will receive a special package of exclusive offers to Navy Pier experiences – perhaps to share with a date! Tickets to Spinning with Singles are $50 per person and include an exclusive ride experience on Chicago’s treasured icon, access to the dazzling triple-deck private yacht, food, open bar, and of course, the opportunity to potentially make a romantic connection. In the event that the Centennial Wheel cannot operate due to weather-related conditions, the entire event will be held aboard Chicago Elite. Participants will be provided complimentary Centennial Wheel tickets to redeem for a future ride.
