Participants will learn how companies like American Express, Capital One, Comcast, eBay, Google, Lyft, Netflix, Uber and Yelp use Flink as the stream processing engine of choice for large-scale stateful applications, including real-time analytics, machine learning, real-time search and content ranking and fraud/anomaly/threat detection.

Keynote Line Up Features:

  • Anand Iyer, product manager, Google Cloud Platform
  • Stephan Ewen, PMC member of Apache Flink and CTO/co-founder, data Artisans

“We’re excited to be hosting our second annual Flink Forward San Francisco and bringing together this active community that has helped push the boundaries of stream processing and real-time data applications,” said Flink PMC VP and data Artisans' CTO Stephan Ewen. “We know from our recent user survey that many of you have plans to deploy more streaming applications this year, including for machine learning, fraud detection and more. We have assembled a great lineup of speakers to share what they have learned in creating such applications and running them at scale. Participants will hear about the real-world impact Flink is having for companies in e-commerce/retail, media, financial services and many other industries, as well as what is next for Flink.”

At Flink Forward, participants will have the opportunity to hear from experts who have built scalable streaming infrastructure and enterprise-grade applications, view live demos and attend in-depth technical talks on the internals of stream processing technologies.

Sessions Include:

Flink Forward San Francisco features one day of hands-on training as a lead-in to the conference on April 9 followed by the conference sessions on April 10. For those new to Apache Flink, the Standard Training provides an in-depth introduction to stream processing with Flink. For experienced Flink users, the Advanced Training will focus on more advanced understanding of the lower-level APIs and how to manage applications in production.
