Azul Systems (Azul), the award-winning leader in Java runtime solutions, today announced that it would be supporting a series of industry events and technical presentations throughout Europe, with a side trip to JBreak, a conference for experienced Java developers held in Novosibirsk, Siberia. The four upcoming events are summarized below:
- The Azul team will begin their tour at Embedded World, held in Nuremberg, Germany from February 27 through March 1st. Azul is exhibiting at Stand 500 in Hall 4. Azul will highlight its Zulu Embedded builds of OpenJDK, which provide embedded developers with open source Java for Arm, x86, PowerPC, and MIPS. - Azul Deputy CTO Simon Ritter will be keynoting at JBreak, a conference for advanced Java developers being held for the third year in Novosibirsk, the third-largest city in the Russian Federation. Simon’s topic is “JDK 9 Mission Accomplished / What’s Next for Java?” The presentation begins at 10:30 AM on March 4, 2018.
- Azul will be participating in multiple talks and breakout sessions at QCon London, which runs from March 5-7 in in the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre. Azul CTO Gil Tene will join other high-performance Java experts for an “Ask Me Anything” panel discussion on March 5, starting at 12:50 PM in the Redgrave conference room. Mr. Tene will follow that session with a talk entitled “Java at Speed”, which will start at 1:40 PM in the St. James Room. On Wednesday, March 3rd, Simon Ritter will deliver his “JDK 9: Mission Accomplished” talk starting at 10:35 in the Westminster Room. The Azul team will also be available in Stand #18 for face-to-face discussions of Azul’s Java product offerings as well as the evolving Java release and support cadence and its impact on Java-based businesses.
- On March 8, Azul, Hazelcast, and Payara will sponsor a “Java, Microservices and Cloud” Meetup at Skills Matter’s CodeNode London facility. Steve Millidge, Technical Director at Payara, will speak on “Moving to MicroProfile and EE4J.” Simon Ritter, Deputy CTO at Azul Systems will cover “The Start of a New Future for Java.” Neil Stevenson, Sr. Solution Architect at Hazelcast will conclude with “Fast Processing of Fast Moving Data”.
