Charleston, South Carolina, Feb. 28, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In order to successfully study harmful algal toxins in our seas the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) requires a contractor to perform maintenance on three of their mass spectrometers in Charleston, South Carolina. This opportunity is reserved for a small business. Contractors who can provide this service must submit an offer for the work by March 15, 2018.
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all materials, travel expenses, labor, tools and equipment necessary to provide full maintenance, both preventative and emergency repair on the instruments. When updates are necessary the contractor must also implement those. This work is slated to begin on April 1, 2018 and last for one year at a location in Charleston, South Carolina.
An offeror must consider some unique elements about this work when submitting their quote to the government. First, they should have a written agreement to obtain all manufacturers’ repair parts for the duration of the contract. The contractor must also complete mandatory security awareness training through NOAA. Service engineers working under the contractor must be factory trained and fully qualified, authorized and certified to work on these spectrometers.
