NEW YORK, May 16, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- HealthiNation, a leading producer and publisher of consumer health videos announced an agreement today with eVideon, a leading hospital solutions system to distribute HealthiNation’s award-winning content to eVideon and their network of more than fifty facilities.
The partnership allows eVideon to help clinicians easily personalize a patient’s health condition journey with related interactive education content from HealthiNation’s deep library of thousands of medical and wellness videos. Through HealthiNation’s dynamic health video programming, patients and their families can learn about a given health condition’s symptoms, diagnosis and treatment, medical care and testing, and advice for living well with a chronic health issue.
“Patient engagement and education continues to be critical for patient recovery. HealthiNation video content is a strong addition to eVideon’s systems,” says Spencer Draper, eVideon’s Director of Clinical Solutions. “Their cancer video content and related immunotherapy video content will be tremendously additive to hospitals and nurses’ patient education tool box.”
eVideon integrates with a hospital’s electronic health records system (EHR) to enable healthcare providers to easily begin the patient education process. Healthcare providers can also determine a patient’s video-viewing history and assess engagement and then document these things into the EHR. These elements are all critical factors in addressing hospital HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers) scores. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (P.L. 111-148) includes HCAHPS among the measures used to calculate value-based incentive payments in the Hospital Value-Based Purchasing programs.
“We’re delighted to partner together with eVideon to provide their numerous hospitals, inclusive of the Veteran’s Administration community, with our expansive patient education library. Ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of engaging video education is a hallmark of the HealthiNation brand,” says HealthiNation’s Chief Executive Officer Michael O’Donnell.
Hospitals and the designated nursing teams that utilize eVideon’s systems can choose video content from HealthiNation’s dedicated client portal. HealthiNation produces and publishes dozens of health content videos weekly around such topics as:
- Cancer (breast, colorectal, lung, multiple myeloma, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, osteosarcoma, prostate, skin)
