Atlantic City, N.J., June 01, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Actor and comedian George Lopez, who last year opened his Chingon Kitchen at San Manuel Casino, is among five food & beverage experts who will speak on a special panel at the 22nd annual East Coast Gaming Congress, which takes place June 13-14 in Atlantic City.
The panel, “Driving Revenue through Food & Beverage Opportunities,” will provide attendees with insight into creative and innovative concepts in food & beverage – from innovation and future trends in menus/food offerings to unique restaurant concepts.
Lopez has a storied career on stage and in both television in film, and last year added “restaurateur” to his repertoire with the opening of an authentic Mexican restaurant in one of California’s largest casinos. He and his Chingon Kitchen co-creators will discuss the ingredients for success in casino F&B.
“It is no secret that I am true to my Mexican roots, and I love great Mexican food,” said George Lopez, whose career highlights include a star on the Hollywood Hall of Fame and being named to Time magazine’s list of 25 Most Influential Hispanics in America. “It has been a dream of mine for many years to open a restaurant, but it had to be a chill kind of place with great food, made to order, in a bitchin environment that celebrates my heritage."
“Restaurants are a key driver in the Gaming space,” said panel moderator Karla Perez-Larragoite, Vice President National Accounts, Gaming, Sysco Corporation. “Gaming is competing with local restaurants and drawing new revenue from untapped customers. This panel focused on driving revenue through food and beverage is a great opportunity for the conference attendees to hear from the industry leaders.”
The complete list of speakers on the panel is:
· Chef Neil Doherty, Senior Director, Culinary Development, Sysco Corporation
· Dave Furano, Chief Visionary Officer of Rock & Brews, Co-Creator of George Lopez's Chingon Kitchen
· George Lopez, American Actor, Comedian and Entrepreneur
