Shuttle Computer Group Announces Ultra-Compact XPC DH310 Line of 4K Media Players with Coffee Lake

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., July 17, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Shuttle Computer Group, Inc., one of the world’s leading designers of small form factor (SFF) computers, introduces the DH310 series (i3/i5/i7 Desktop CPU) of new high-performance Coffee-Lake-S based 1.3L computers for kiosks, vending machines, digital signage, and other embedded applications that require jet-like speed, powerful performance, and 4K display capabilities.

“Our resellers have been asking for more bang for their customers’ buck, and we’re happy to deliver our new DH310 Series,” said Robert Garcia, solution sales manager, Shuttle Computer Group. “With the embedded chipset, they’ll have a robust, reliable solution for many years down the road.”

Coffee Lake marks a shift in the number of cores for Intel's mainstream desktop processors, the first such update for the previous ten-year history of Intel Core CPUs. Mainstream desktop i7 CPUs feature six cores and 12 threads, i5 CPUs feature six single-threaded cores and i3 CPUs feature four single-threaded cores, which means faster rendering and response time for graphic- and data-intensive applications like AutoCAD.

The Shuttle DH310 supports two independent displays and is VESA mountable to installation flexibility. With HDMI 2.0 4K/60Hz video playback, these super small computers enable transmission of High Dynamic Range (HDR) video with ideal values for display, depth, detail, brightness, contrast, and a wider color gamut, to optimize ads, clips, and other videos.

With a heatpipe cooling design, the DH310 includes a dust-free, smart-fan design that allows for constant air circulation, for performance integrity, high stability, low noise, and seamless 24/7/365 operation. It operates in a wide range of temperatures, from 0° to 50° C, perfect for various challenging environments.

With two built-in USB 2.0 and two USB3.1 Gen 1 ports, RS232/422/485, it has many connectivity options for multiple peripherals and supports two RJ45 Intel® Gigabit LAN ports, one HDMI™ port, one DisplayPort, for increased installation flexibility in digital signage applications. A wireless antenna fixture means easy connection to WiFi and a Kensington lock insures the computer will stay in place.

The DH310 also boasts one 1.5-inch HDD or SDD bay to increase installation flexibility. It also provides one M.2 2230 Type E key socket and one M.2280 Type M expansion slots, which allows users to connect WiFi internally for better performance and a more streamlined look. They also provide greater storage options and flexibility in a compact form factor.

Shuttle Computer Group offers integrators imaging services and customized BIOS, which provides integrators a way to quicken deployments and reduce costs while maintaining consistency.

Shuttle’s new Coffee Lake media players come with a three-year limited warranty on parts and labor and are currently available.
