KEMP, Texas, Sept. 12, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Larson Electronics LLC, a leader of industrial lighting, released a portable explosion proof power distribution system that gives operators the flexibility to safely tap into 480VAC to power their three-phase 480V equipment, as well as single-phase 240V or 120V equipment. This 10KVApower power distribution system comes with a Class I, Division 2 LED light and switch on top of the cart and is designed for indoor and outdoor use in hazardous location areas for shipyard, plant maintenance and construction applications.
The HAL-MPD-480V-1X60-10KVA-120.240-3X30-3X20 explosion proof power distribution system gives operators the ability to power their three-phase 480V and single-phase 240V, and 120V equipment from a single system. Access to one, Class I, Division 2 LED light and switch is located at the top of the cart.
On the primary side operators connect three-phase 480-volt line-in power via 85 feet of #4 Type W cable and to one, Class I, Division 1 explosion proof SRD6484D receptacle for 480V equipment. On the secondary side, operators connect to two, Class I, Division 1 explosion proof CPS532 receptacles for 240V equipment, to one, Class I, Division 1 explosion proof CPS732 receptacle for 120/240V equipment and to three, Class I, Division 1 explosion proof GFCI receptacles for 120V equipment. Liquid-tite flexible cord connect the transformer to the primary and secondary panel.
This unit is designed for serious use, constructed to withstand demanding conditions and heavy-duty industrial applications. The line-in power as well as connections between the disconnect and transformer and between the transformer and secondary panel consist of heavy-duty SOOW cords for additional reliability. All receptacles are equipped with weatherproof covers to protect from outdoor elements.
The HAL-MPD-480V-1X60-10KVA-120.240-3X30-3X20 is mounted on a non-sparking aluminum mounting platform equipped with forklift skid pockets, non-sparking locking casters, and four, top located lifting eyelets at every corner allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks.
