(“NewBridge” or the “Company”), (OTCQB: NBGV), focused on leading the California legal cannabis and hemp industry, today announced its participation at The MicroCap Conference that is being held on October 1st and 2nd, 2018 in New York City, NY.
Todd Lee, President and Robert Bench, Chief Financial Officer, will present a corporate overview at 11:00 am ET. Dr. John MacKay, who is head of the NewBridge Advisory Board and is leading the design and scale up of the Company’s cannabis oil extraction refineries, will be a panelist on the “Investing in Cannabis” panel at 5:45 pm ET. Management will be meeting with investors throughout the day as well.
Dr. MacKay, a renowned expert in botanical extraction process manufacturing and industry best practices for over twenty years, has been retained to design and scale-up two oil extraction refineries on properties acquired by NewBridge in July 2018. Once completed, 5Leaf will be positioned to be one of California’s top producers of high-quality cannabis and industrial hemp oil. The refinery in Oakland, California, is 14,000 square feet and will be able to process up to 2,000 pounds of biomass per day. This facility will focus on full spectrum oils (FSO), distillate and THC isolate, as well as strain specific terpenes. A pilot scale program is already under way.
The second extraction oil refinery is being built in our 45,000 square foot compound in Santa Rosa, California, and will focus on extraction of industrialized hemp for FSO and CBD distillates and isolates. This facility will have a similar production volume to our Oakland refinery. Both of our cannabis oil extraction facilities, plan to be ISO 9001:2008 and GMP compliant.
