ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 27, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Holiday Retirement is delighted to announce its inclusion in FORTUNE’s first annual Best Workplaces for Aging Services 2018 list. The ranking considered more than 76,000 employee surveys from companies in the aging services industry. Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm, evaluated more than 50 elements of team members’ experience on the job.
These included the extent to which employees trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team. Rankings are based on employees’ feedback and reward companies who best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization. Holiday Retirement took the No. 14 spot on the list.
The top 50 performing organizations were honored as the Best Workplaces for Aging Services.
“We are creating a new energy and change at Holiday,” said Lilly Donohue, Holiday Retirement CEO. “We are embracing technology and looking at different ways of doing things to offer residents a great experience. This change creates excitement for associates who want to work at an innovative and dynamic company. I am honored to be a part of a team that has worked so hard to be recognized as one of FORTUNE’s Best Workplaces for Aging Services.”
“The aging services industry is rapidly growing and with aging Baby Boomers, consumer preferences are changing even more dramatically. Companies need to adapt their organizations and offerings to remain competitive,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “Organizations like Holiday Retirement stand out from the crowd, intentionally growing their businesses by creating great places to work.”
Earlier this year, Holiday was certified as a great workplace by Great Place to Work Institute®, an honor that was extended to 211 of its independent senior living communities. In addition, the company received the second highest ranking in J.D. Power’s first senior living customer satisfaction study among the nation’s largest providers of residential communities for seniors.
“We want to be the place to live and work,” said LaBaron Hendrieth, general manager at Holiday’s New England Club in Cincinnati, Ohio. “Celebrating the gifts and talents of our residents and staff all help in creating a community that embraces new friends, great food, fun activities and experiences and all the essentials for happy residents.”
“Our associates help older people live better and age more successfully while staying independent as long as possible. It’s only natural that we help our associates live better and more successful lives, too,” Ms. Donohue added.
