Room to Read
Room to Read is transforming the lives of millions of children around the world through its focus on literacy and gender equality in education. Founded in 2000 on the belief that World Change Starts with Educated Children®, its innovative model focuses on deep, systemic change within schools in low-income communities during two time periods that are most critical in a child’s schooling: early primary school for literacy acquisition and secondary school for girls’ education.
Room to Read has benefitted more than 16.6 million children, expanded its programs to 16 countries, and reached $50 million in annual contributions. To support this growth, the organization deployed Sage Intacct and has improved productivity by 25 percent for its worldwide field operations and global finance teams and seen a revenue increase of 15 percent or $6.4M.
