Former Cisco EVP and CMO Brings Proven Marketing and Leadership Experience to Board
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 29, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Druva, Inc., the leader in cloud data protection and management, today announced the appointment of Sue Bostrom to the company’s board of directors effective October 17. Bostrom brings more than 25 years of experience in management, marketing and strategy development and will support Druva during a time of accelerated company and market growth.
Bostrom was the executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Cisco Systems where she was responsible for developing and communicating Cisco’s vision and strategy through positioning, branding, advertising, and product marketing. In her 14 years at the company, she also led worldwide government affairs and created the Internet Business Solutions Consulting Group. Bostrom has since dedicated her time and expertise as a board member at many of Silicon Valley’s industry leading technology companies, including ServiceNow, Nutanix, Anaplan, Cadence, and Varian Medical Systems. She has also helped guide a number of private companies through IPOs and acquisitions.
“Sue is an outstanding addition to our board of directors, having worked with innovative startups and established technology leaders, and brings a proven track record of helping them lead their respective industries,” said Jaspreet Singh, founder and CEO, Druva. “As someone who has worked with high growth SaaS companies, Sue brings an incredible wealth of knowledge that will undoubtedly help drive our future success.”
“Technology has brought a number of dramatic changes to businesses over the last decade including the exponential growth of data and the cloud,” said Bostrom. “Druva offers an incredibly compelling solution to help enterprises manage its data footprint while realizing the full benefits of cloud-based systems. I greatly admire Druva’s leadership team and their focus on helping customers capture these benefits without increased complexity and cost. I am thrilled to join the board.”
Bostrom joins Druva at a time of rapid expansion. Earlier this year, Druva launched the Druva Cloud Platform, a unique cloud-native solution that offers customers the ability to pay as data is consumed, eliminating the need to invest in additional hardware or software. Unlike other solutions on the market, Druva Cloud Platform readily scales to accommodate petabytes of data due to its cloud-based architecture.
Druva has also added key executive leaders to its team in the last year, including Sherry Lowe as chief marketing officer and Thorsten Freitag as chief revenue officer. Additionally, in September, Guy Churchward joined as an advisor to Druva’s executive team. Churchward brings extensive international experience in engineering, sales, strategy, and market development from EMC/Dell EMC and NetApp, and now focuses on working with companies that deliver innovation and transformation in data management, protection, and storage.
