US Federal Contractor Registration Accepts Video Submissions for Scholarship

USFCR is the world's largest third-party government registration firm

St. Petersburg, Fla. , Nov. 01, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Every year, US Federal Contractor Registration awards the Eric Knellinger Presidential Scholarship. The scholarship, for $1,000, is meant to be spent on any expense that comes with a higher education. This can include boarding, textbooks, and tuition. Students that are seniors in high school who have been accepted into a college or university are eligible. Current college students in their first or second year can also apply. In previous years, students were to submit an essay answering a question about government contracting to the firm. However, this year, they're changing the requirements and are asking for video submissions to answer one question.

The question is, "What are the benefits of working with the U.S. government?" This isn't a question about benefits for government employees. They're asking more about the cooperation between the private and public sectors. This includes government contracting, grants, and other ways these parties work together. Although it is encouraged for students to use high-quality production equipment, they can still shoot a simple video on their phone. Video selfies, documentaries, vlogs, or any other stylization the student wishes to take is acceptable. What matters most is that they answer the question in a video format in a timeframe between two and five minutes.

This run of the scholarship's deadline is May 1, 2019. In total, about only six scholarships are expected to be awarded. Although the official run of the scholarship will end next spring, they will still be awarded throughout this period. Full details on the scholarship as well as tips for those looking to submit can be found on USFCR's website
