KEMP, Texas, Nov. 05, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting sector, announced the release of a 77-foot hydraulic Megatower® light plant equipped with twenty, 500-watt LED light heads operating on 480V AC. This mining-grade, self-contained light tower package features a hydraulic upright assist and mast with a wind speed monitoring system and is mounted onto a towable 33 -foot by 8-foot tandem axle trailer.
The LM-HLM65-20X500LTL-LED-TLR-480V.1P is a durable fold-over seven-stage hydraulic light plant that features twenty 500-watt LED high-output lights configured for an even distribution pattern. Each LED light produces 67,500 lumens at a 5000K temperature color for a combined total of 1,350,000 lumens of light. The light tower LED heads are grouped into banks of four, each wired into the NEMA 3R breaker control box at the mast’s base where the hydraulics are also powered from. The light heads are controlled with an on/off switch breaker and operate on 480V AC single-phase power facilitated by a grid-tie system
A carbon steel hydraulic telescoping 77-foot mast which deploys the LED light heads up to 65 feet. This boom can also be collapsed to 30 feet for smaller applications. The LM-HLM65-20X500LTL-LED-TLR-480V.1P features a hydraulic ram upright assist and hydraulic mast. The hydraulic system is equipped with a de-icing system to prevent freezing. The mast can withstand 35mp winds when fully extended, 50mp winds when lowered to 30 feet and 95mph winds with gusts up to 125mph when lowered to 33 feet. The unit features a wind speed monitoring system that automatically adjusts the mast height upon sensing strong winds.
The whole assembly is mounted onto a four-wheel, dual tandem axle trailer with a 12-inch I-beam construction. The trailer comes with six 7,000-pound hand crank jacks to raise the trailer and four 7,000-pound hand crank jacks for leveling and stabilizing the trailer. This hydraulic Megatower® is ideal for use as temporary lighting, at construction sites, outdoor events, job sites and any other setting that requires a self-contained source of large-coverage illumination.
