Danbury, CT, Dec. 19, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Owl Cyber Defense Solutions, LLC (“Owl”), the market leader in data diode network cybersecurity solutions, is proud to announce the next release and productization of the company’s OPDS core software platform, 2.0.2.0, now branded as “OPDS-Talon”, for use on the OPDS and EPDS data diode product lines.
While the hardware-based platforms in Owl data diodes enforce one-way data transfers and network segmentation, a complementary software platform is required in order to manage the devices, enforce policies, interact with the network, and control data flow. OPDS-Talon is a menu-based system administration software tool built on a hardened Linux operating system that follows Center for Internet Security (CIS) benchmarks. Designed with a defense-in-depth strategy, the OPDS hardware and Talon software platforms operate together in a layered approach to effectively defend networks and digital assets from cyberattack.

New features include a user-focused menu system, enhanced role-based access controls, and improved network diagnostic tools. The clean and intuitive menu design simplifies and accelerates navigation and administration, and the new network diagnostic tools make it easier to update and view current software versions.
