BOSTON, Jan. 17, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mike Massaro, CEO of Flywire, will deliver the keynote address at the kickoff event for the inaugural MassChallenge FinTech program. The event takes place on Friday, January 18th at the MassChallenge Boston offices.
Launched in 2018, MassChallenge FinTech is designed to accelerate innovation in the financial services industry by making it easier for startups and established businesses, institutions, and organizations to work together. The program matches 21 enterprise-ready FinTech startups with industry leaders to accelerate the emerging products and services that have the power to transform the financial services ecosystem. The startups selected participate in a six-month long, vertical-specific program where they are paired with top businesses, institutions, and organizations to solve key industry challenges. Fidelity Investments, Citizens Financial Group, Eastern Bank and John Hancock are just a few of the participating mentor companies.
Flywire’s Massaro will deliver the keynote address as the startups get paired with their industry mentors and learn of their assignments. He’ll share his own experience guiding Flywire’s growth and success in the global payments business.
“Flywire has benefitted greatly from several industry mentors over the years, so this is an initiative that we support enthusiastically,” said Massaro. “The opportunity for these startups to work with some of the leading financial services companies in the industry is invaluable. And the participation of these companies also reflects the wealth of financial services industry talent we have here in the Boston area.”
