WASHINGTON, Feb. 05, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM®), a nonprofit organization that certifies competency of acupuncture and Oriental medicine (AOM) practitioners, today announced the launch of its rebrand and newly designed website at https://www.nccaom.org. The updated website offers a fresh, contemporary, and visually pleasing style, more intuitive navigation, and alignment with the organization’s new brand.
As part of the rebranding, the NCCAOM logo and the service marks for each certification area have been updated with the goal of promoting greater recognition of each within the industry and to the public. In addition to the new visual marks, the organization has registered the designation NCCAOM National Board-Certified Acupuncturists™ with the U.S. Patent and Trade Office in order to better distinguish actively-certified NCCAOM Diplomates from those who are not nationally-registered.
“We are thrilled to debut our rebranded visuals, new logo, and new website to our Diplomates, the public, and our stakeholders,” said Kory Ward-Cook, Ph.D., CAE, Chief Executive Officer of the NCCAOM. “The NCCAOM Board of Commissioners and staff wanted to create a user-friendly experience, as well as illustrating the credibility and value of our National Board-Certified Acupuncturists. NCCAOM certification indicates the gold standard in the field of acupuncture and Oriental medicine and we encourage consumers to use our new enhanced NCCAOM Find-A-Practitioner Directory to locate a National Board-Certified Acupuncturists via our new website.”
NCCAOM’s rebranding effort follows the organization’s 2018 headquarters move to the nation’s capital where they are focusing on advocacy and public education services to advance and promote the over 17,600 NCCAOM National Board-Certified Acupuncturists in the U.S. The launch of the modern new logo, service marks, and tagline are intended to encourage Diplomates to demonstrate their certification and national credentials with their patients and community, as well as the public, media, and other healthcare providers.
