ATLANTA, GA, Feb. 11, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- New Acquisitions of Atlanta, GA – a promotional advertising and marketing firm - participated in St. Jude’s Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer on September 15, 2018. The firm has consistently exemplified a culture of giving back to the community and has continued this tradition through this event.
According to St. Jude’s website, their mission is to utilize research and treatment in order to expedite cures and further prevention for catastrophic childhood diseases. Founder of St. Jude, Danny Thomas, had a vision that no child would be denied treatment regardless of race, religion or family’s ability to pay.
The St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer in Atlanta raised a total of $324,341. The event itself was just a small part of what the charity has done over the years. St. Jude has, “spent more than half a century finding cures and saving children, and their groundbreaking research has helped push the survival rate for childhood cancer from less than 20% in 1962 to more than 80% today.”
The New Acquisitions team was excited as well as honored to give back to the community and team up with St. Jude for the event. The team not only participated in the event and contributed to the overall donation to the cause, but also thoroughly enjoyed the experience. “It was an amazing opportunity to help further a great cause,” said Regenia Leuenberger, Corporate Trainer at New Acquisitions. “I love being part of a team that values giving back to the community!”
