Nashville, TN –, Feb. 13, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- John Sutton was named National Director of Sales for Novatech, Inc. back in May of 2018. Since the promotion, Sutton has been assisting the company to reach new heights. He is a dynamic member of a leadership team recognized for running one of the fastest growing companies by Inc Magazine for the 12th time in the past 13 years, showing a three-year growth from his sales team of 59 percent.
Recognized as the top Document Solutions Reseller in North America by Konica Minolta a year ago, Novatech’s sales are up double digits year-over-year and the organization is constantly seeking experienced sales persons to keep up with the demand.
“We recruit the best of the best – nimble, knowledgeable and ready to seek success in a changing world of office technology,” Sutton stated. The focus on quality relationships modeled by Sutton has been a key trait he attributes to his success, and part of the ambition he seeks to impart in his team.
“I started out just wanting to be part of this industry – I always liked IT, and when I had the opportunity to move into sales and IT Management, I jumped at it. I knew I could help the company grow and now I have even more opportunities to make things happen,” says Sutton, who joined the industry in the mid-90’s and has extensive sales and IT Management experience. “We have goals to make Novatech the dominant IT Services and Solutions provider in all the markets that we serve and we’re already on our way to doing that.”
Known for 19 years as NovaCopy, the company rebranded in April 2018 to Novatech as it repositioned itself in the industry to better improve the efficiency and dependability of customers’ office and IT operations.
“We became Novatech, a holistic IT Solutions and Managed Services provider, allowing us to expand our strategic planning and technology consulting into the customer workspace, but we still continue to offer office hardware and other ancillary options in the markets we serve,” said Sutton. “And, this is all in addition to the state-of-the-art 3D printing technology we offer. So, I’m very excited to be a part of all that we’re doing.”
Novatech CEO, Darren Metz adds, “John has done a great job since being promoted to National Director of Sales. Not only have sales increased, he has played an integral role in growing and leading our sales professionals and we are very proud to have him as part of the executive team.”
Sutton lives in the Memphis, TN area with his wife and one daughter who is preparing to enter a Master’s program at The University of Mississippi. As a successful African American in an industry which is still progressing in diversity, John recognizes the opportunity he has to be a positive example within the community. “I love being able to speak with young people about what I do and the teams I lead,” he said. “Looking at a room full of young people from all walks of life and all kinds of backgrounds and telling them about the values and ideals that have helped me to be effective in business is a deeply satisfying reward. It’s not a benefit they put in the job offer, but it is a wonderful intangible bonus.”
With five acquisitions in the past two years, an ever-expanding stable of Managed IT, 3D printing and Document solutions and all the while coordinating sales education, training and growth opportunities, Sutton and other Novatech executives like him are taking the lead at a pivotal time. New talent, led by insightful management, makes all the difference in such a mission. With sales up over the past three years, it is clear Novatech is making good choices – and quality leadership is among those.
