ANAHEIM, Calif., March 06, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Straus Family Creamery, a pioneer in sustainable organic dairy farming practices, introduces three new flavors for ice cream aficionados who care about the origin, quality, and taste of their dairy products. The new Chai Latte, Vanilla Fudge Swirl, and Maple Cream ice cream pints make their debut during this year’s Natural Products Expo West trade show.
Taste the Straus Difference: Three New Organic Ice Creams
The new flavors expand the company’s organic super premium ice cream offerings to 13 pint and six-quart offerings, all of which feature the pure, rich taste of Straus’ premium organic milk and cream from cows on family farm organic pastures. Each bite represents a commitment to farmer-first business practices, environmental leadership, and premium quality and taste of organic dairy.
Straus developed ice cream flavors without artificial ingredients and coloring agents that showcase the distinctive sweet taste and creamy texture of their fresh organic milk and cream. The Chai Latte is a delicious blend of Indian spices, beloved in the traditional seasoned beverage, for a classic global flavor. The Vanilla Fudge Swirl has thick and rich chocolate fudge swirls churned into the award-winning vanilla ice cream. The Maple Cream features golden maple syrup, which complements the sweet cream ice cream, evoking a nostalgic American taste.
The new ice creams will be sampled today in a sneak peek at the Organic Tent before the show opening, and at the Straus booth, (#2110, Hall B) during the Expo West main show. The company’s best-selling organic yogurts and chocolate milk will also be sampled at the booth.
25 Years of Commitment to the Planet, Farmers, and Food
Straus is hosting a silver anniversary celebration of its 25th year in business for customers, retailers and distributors on Thursday, March 7th, 4: 00 – 5:30 pm at the Straus booth (#2110, Hall B). There are opportunities to win prizes and commemorative gifts highlighting the company’s longstanding leadership in organic agriculture.
“As an organic dairy farmer, I’m focusing on sustainable agriculture and organic family farming to strengthen our rural communities. We’ve come a long way in helping sustain local family farms, but there is still more work ahead of us,” said Albert Straus, founder and CEO of Straus Family Creamery.
New Look, Same Great Organic Taste
In recognition of its 25th anniversary, the company has redesigned its packaging to more clearly communicate its mission, brand benefits and offer greater consistency across categories. The new packaging includes updated messaging on its iconic reusable glass bottle that has contained its organic cream-top milk since the company’s launch in 1994. That bottle, which has a return rate of more than 80 percent, keeps an estimated 500,000 pounds of milk containers and plastic out of landfills each year. The bottles are reused an average of five times before being recycled.
