The Company held a groundbreaking event at 11:00 a.m. on March 5th in Erakor Village, Vanuatu where the Paramount Chief welcomed Phoenix Life officials, such as Global Head of Security and Transport, Former Police Commissioner John Taleo, Head of National Healthcare, Former Director of Port Vila Central Hospital, the Department of Curative & Hospital Services and Vanuatu’s Ministry of Health, Dr. Santus Wari, and Martin Tindall, Phoenix Life CEO and Founder.
According to the International Diabetes Federation, 1 in 10 Vanuatu citizens are diagnosed with diabetes every year. This is why Denver-based Phoenix Life chose to tackle diabetes in The Republic of Vanuatu, with a focus on addressing the national diabetes epidemic with Phoenix Metabolic, a plant based pharmaceutical, extracted from the cannabis plant and designed to specifically manage diabetes and its complications. At the event, Dr. Santus Wari gave a speech on the benefits of this clinic and stressed the importance of citizens participating in blood sugar testing to better understand their health. Phoenix Life CEO Martin Tindall explained the company’s plans to open a national network of Phoenix Life Community Clinics and Dispensing Pharmacies over the next year. Further, Tindall explained that Phoenix Life plans to conduct clinical trials in Vanuatu, to be overseen by leading endocrinologists from Australia and the United States. These double blind randomized clinical trials will be used to confirm the efficacy of Phoenix Metabolic as a treatment for diabetes as part of Phoenix Life’s global rollout strategy.
Through this Community Clinic and future locations, Phoenix Life plans to increase healthcare infrastructure throughout the nation to promote better health and provide significant improvements in healthcare, initially in the field of diabetes management.
