CENTENNIAL, Colo., April 29, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NioCorp Developments Ltd. (“NioCorp” or the “Company”) (TSX:NB) (OTCQX:NIOBF) is pleased to announce that it has closed the first tranche (“First Tranche”) of its previously announced non-brokered private placement (the “Private Placement”) of units (the “Units”) of the Company. Under the First Tranche, a total of 1,666,664 Units were issued at a price per Unit of C$0.60, for total gross proceeds to the Company of approximately C$1 million.
The Company expects to close a second tranche of up to C$200,000 on or about May 6, 2019.
Each Unit issued pursuant to the First Tranche consists of one common share in the capital of the Company (a “Common Share”) and one-half of one Common Share purchase warrant (each whole warrant, a “Warrant”). Each Warrant entitles the holder thereof to purchase one additional Common Share at a price of C$0.72 until April 29, 2021.
Proceeds from the Private Placement will be used for working capital and general corporate purposes.
The Company paid cash commissions of C$29,999.95 in connection with the First Tranche to a broker outside of the United States. All of the securities sold pursuant to the First Tranche will be subject to a four month hold period, which will expire four months and one day from April 29, 2019.
