Allvision, a geospatial analytics startup providing insights and business intelligence to verticals such as infrastructure management, insurance, advertising, and security, announces the launch of Allvision™ Parkview, a turnkey high definition mapping solution for city planning and maintenance that’s scalable, economical, and accessible to all. Cities can inventory, inspect and monitor roads, curbs, and sidewalks accurately, affordably and fast (days—not months). On May 2 the Allvision team will be exhibiting and demonstrating Allvision Parkview at TechDay 2019 in New York City.
Urban centers are experiencing increasingly intense demands for curb use. Space traditionally reserved for parking, transportation, and deliveries are now competing with new mobility options including ride-hailing services, bikeshares, rideshares, and even scooter shares. As a result, cities need frequent street-level information to develop pricing and policies that ensure equitable use of the curb.

Allvision is currently piloting in Pittsburgh, PA. The City of Pittsburgh approached Allvision to analyze parking patterns in the Strip District, a historic market district and one of Pittsburgh’s most crowded and merchant-diverse neighborhoods. The City sought to better understand the impact of parking on residents and local merchants. “We are excited to be partnering with Allvision on a pilot addressing urban mobility challenges, starting with curb space management,” notes Karina Ricks, Director, Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, City of Pittsburgh.
To celebrate the launch and to illustrate that any vehicle can map like an autonomous vehicle, Allvision has “kitted” out a 1980’s Pontiac Firebird with 3D capture technologies as a mapping vehicle. The car will be center stage during TechDay taking place in the Javits Center in New York City and will showcase the machine learning technology powering Allvision Parkview. Allvision will be located at Booth 301, at the entrance of the exhibit hall.
