Aspen, CO…American Renewable Energy Institute AREI announces its 16th annual Summit, August 15-17, 2019, in Snowmass Village, Colorado. The theme for this year’s annual AREDAY Summit Speaker Series and Impact Film Festival is “Creating the New Hydrogen-Carbon Economy: The Politics of Change.” It will be held at the Viceroy Resort, 10 miles from Aspen. This speaker series has been convening for years as one of the largest in-person brain trusts of the global renewable energy industry, attracting climate change decision-makers, change agents and thought leaders.
Called the “Davos of Clean and Renewable Energy,” the purpose of the dynamic AREDAY Summit is to provide a platform for high level, cross-sector networking that results in investments, collaborations, strategic alliances and new initiatives.
The AREDAY Summit will feature 100 diverse speakers participating in dozens of panel discussions, armchair conversations, keynote addresses and top-level networking events. Such vital topics as climate science, renewable energy and innovative technology, policymaking, entrepreneurship and venture capital investment will be explored.
To date, speakers include Dr. Sylvia Earle - Mission Blue and The Sea Alliance; Gen Wesley Clark - Growth Energy; Bill Ritter - Center for the New Energy Economy at Colorado State University; Trammel Crow - EarthX; Hanieh Sadat - GenesysOne Capital; Lester Brown - Earth Policy Institute; Amory Lovins- Rocky Mountain Institute; Michele Wyman - National Council for Science and the Environment and Rev. In addition to the Speaker series, AREI will simultaneously sponsor Impact Film, a solutions-oriented film festival designed to motivate the community to engage in climate change issues and protect the planet for future generations.

The Summit is livestreamed. However, onsite attendance is limited to 300. According to Summit producers, this creates an intentional atmosphere of comfort and intimacy, designed to foster deep immersion, thereby encouraging AREI’s trademark ability to drive collaboration and strategic partnerships among thought leaders.
Most of the daily events will be held at the LEED Gold-Certified Viceroy Snowmass Luxury Mountain Resort, where a limited number of rooms will be available for attendees. Registration costs range from $350 to $1,250 with special rates for students, non-profits, governments and a single day ticket.
