Orlando, FL — Falls Church, VA —, May 17, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- May 17, 2019 — Community Associations Institute (CAI), the leading international authority in community association governance, management, and education, presented Rosemary Goss, retired dean of the Residential Property Management degree program at Virginia Tech, with an honorary PCAM® designation. Goss was awarded the designation during CAI’s 2019 Annual Conference and Exposition in Orlando, Fla.
Goss was instrumental in the creation of the Residential Property Management (RPM) undergraduate degree program at Virginia Tech in the mid-1980s and served as the school’s dean until her retirement last May.
For more than a decade, Virginia Tech, one of the state’s leading educational institutions with 30,000 students, has incorporated CAI’s community association management curriculum into the RPM program. The curriculum is based on CAI’s popular M-100 course, The Essentials of Community Association Management.
The Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation is the world's most prestigious and respected credential for association managers. Today, more than 3,000 managers hold this significant industry achievement, which was first awarded in 1982 to 17 managers. CAI’s honorary PCAM is granted to recognize those persons who exemplify the ideals of CAI through sustained and outstanding leadership in education, business, or public service in the field of professional community association management
